A memorandum of understanding was signed between Pro Paws, an animal welfare charity in Armenia and the Yerevan municipality to stop the slaughter of stray dogs in the city. EVN Report spoke with the organization's founder and chairperson, Elsik Azizian about the need to make cruelty against animals punishable by law and putting in place legislative measures to protect domestic and wild animals in the country.
